Bulletproof Glass Target Ballistics Standards
Standards have been established by the quality committees to classify bulletproof glasses according to their bullet resistance and to define them by measuring methods.
LB - Lead Bullet | FJ - Full Metal Jacket | FN - Flat Nose | RN - Round Nose CB | Conical Bullet | SC - Soft Core (LEAD)| SCP - Soft Core (lead )| As HC Rigid Core, Steel Hardness 63>HRC ASGARD, we produce thin thickness bulletproof glasses with
international test certificates, as seen in the table .

Worldwide Known Ballistic Standards :
• European Union Standards (CEN-EN)
• US National Institute of Justice (NIJ)
• North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO-STANAG) standardizations.
However, European Union standards are more commonly used for bulletproof glasses to be used in buildings.
Published by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), this standard defines the requirements and methods for testing clear bulletproof glass.
The tests are carried out in accredited laboratories in various European countries.

The purpose of the test is to ensure that bulletproof glass is graded according to the bullet type or threat level.
In the center of the 500 mmx500 mm glass, 3 bullets are fired in an equilateral triangle with a side length of 12 cm. 3 bullets must stay in the glass and no glass fragments must pass through the back of the glass.

The reason why the bulletproof test sample is 500 mmx500 mm in size is to protect the deadly organs of the human body. It is to ensure that the person behind the glass escapes alive from 3 bullets fired in series in an armed attack.
ASGARD manufactures EN 1063 Test Certified Building and Vehicle Bulletproof Glasses.
Understanding Ballistic Standard Table According to European Union Standards
An Example: EN 1063 BR7/ NS : What is it and how to read it?

What Does NS (NO SPLINTERS) Don't Splash Mean?
• The bullet that comes out of the gun barrel at high speed has kinetic energy.
• When the bullet first hits the bulletproof glass, it is converted into potential energy and heat is released.
• The geometric structure of the bullet is disturbed.
• Energy continues alternately as kinetic energy.
• The energy is dissipated and reduced when it hits each glass layer and the synthetic binder between the glasses. • It stops by not penetrating the polycarbonate
material in the last layer .

However, when the kinetic energy comes to the last layer of glass, it breaks some particles from the glass and causes them to come out. When a large number of glass particles come out in the form of splinters, they cause injuries to people inside.
This is undesirable in bulletproof glasses. NS (NO SPLINTERS) means that the glass particles will not come out. The general discourse is said as not to jump.
In tests, aluminum thin foil is placed behind 500 mm x 500 mm bulletproof glass. This is called the Witness Foil. It is determined whether the glass particles come out or not, whether this foil is damaged or not.

The bulletproof glasses we produce as ASGARD are non-splatter since we use POLYCARBON material in the last layer.
NSNATO AEP - 55 STANAG 4569
STANAG is a standard of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization ( NATO ) standardization unit. It is the standard that determines the protection levels for the passengers of logistics and armored vehicles in the inventory of NATO-affiliated countries.
